Three Vietnamese high school students have been awarded the first prize in electrical and mechanical category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) 2012 held in the US.
Tran Bach Trung, Bui Thi Quynh Trang and Vu Anh Vinh, all 17, from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School in Hanoi received the first prize of US$3,000 in the ENG: Electrical and Mechanical category for their project on “Desalination by Combining Solar Energy and Low Pressure Technique.”
The project won first prize at the Vietnam Science and Engineering Fair (ViSEF) 2012.
Intel ESEF 2012, the world's largest international pre-college science competition, was held on May 13-18 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
It is the premier global science competition for students in grades 9-12. Each year it enables more than 1,500 high school students from about 70 countries, regions, and territories to display their independent research and compete for over $3 million in awards.
