STAMEQ's Director General Ngo Quy Viet delivered summary report on establishment and development of STAMEQ for 50 years, highlighting important landmarks and great significant contributions of STAMEQ for the socio-economic development of the country.

On behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister Nguyen Quan greatly appreciated the role of Standards and Quality Branch  in general and STAMEQ in particular in the last 50 years with great contribution to the industrialization, modernization and international economic integration. The sector has effectively acted as the advisor for the Party, the Government timely issuing guidelines and policies on Standards and Quality, to help Vietnamese businesses improve productivity, create more products with high intellectual content, meet the regional and international standard.

On behalf of the Party and the Government, National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu handed over the First Class Independence Medal to the entire officials of STAMEQ.

On this occasion, three units of STAMEQ was honored to be awarded the Labour Medal, including First Class Labour Medal for Vietnam Standard and Quality Institute, Second Class Labour Medal for Vietnam  Metrology Institute and Vietnam Certification Centre.
