In the morning of January 09, 2012, in Hanoi Deputy Minister of Science and Technology KH&CN Le Dinh Tien had a meeting and worked with the mission from Hungarian Government led by Hungarian Secretary of State for Ministry of Development, in charge of energy and environment, Kovács Pál.
Due to power shortages and high electricity production costs from coal and oil, the Government has speeded up the rate of progress and scale of the first nuclear power projects in Vietnam to generate electricity before 2020. Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan said that the Government has asked Russian and Japanese consultancy agencies to improve safety levels and use the safest technologies for nuclear power plants in Vietnam.
On June 07, 2011, National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP)–Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to organize the Workshop on “Developing trademarks from brand names: benefits of brand names for the development and improvement of competitiveness through trademark strategies”.
